CHESS LESSONS – EIJ414 If you’ve wanted to learn how to play chess, here’s your chance. Teen volunteers will guide students as they play with each other to learn the basics of the game.

MOTHER’S DAY FLORAL WORKSHOP – EIJ433 Mrs. Oakes from the Southside Garden Club returns to help students create a fresh floral centerpiece to present to someone special. Registration is in-person only and there is a non-refundable $5 fee per child to be paid at the time of registration. MINECRAFT MANIA - EIJ560 Do you think you have what it takes to be the next master architect? Join our Minecraft building tournament to show off your skills. BABY SMART - EIJ408 This program is designed to introduce baby and caregiver to the wonderful world of library programs! Activities include music, movement, finger plays, fine and gross motor development and circle time. Early literacy, socialization and group play skills are introduced. PETE THE CAT GETS CRAFTY - EIJ544 Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. as we celebrate Pete the Cat! This is a fun and fast paced preschool readiness program all about the cool and groovy Pete the Cat. Activities include music, movement, fine and gross motor development as well as story telling. There will also be a colorful craft! READ TO THE DOGS – EIJ578 Students practice their reading skills and gain confidence by reading aloud to a trained Therapy Dog. Dogs and their handlers are registered with Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International. Student readers can sign up for a 20-minute session when they come to the Children’s Desk to register. BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES - EIJ618 Our butterfly friends return to us in May. Join us to hear stories and make a beautiful butterfly windsock. SENSORY SHENANIGANS - EIJ512 Spend time together creating, playing, and exploring sensory activities. Dress for a mess! DISCOVERY SATURDAY - EIJ426 Families can stop by any time between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. to create an art project while exploring nature in the Discovery Backyard. This program is weather permitting! MORE THAN MOTHER GOOSE – EIJ403 More than Mother Goose for children includes nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays, and stories. Parents participate with their child. Older siblings welcome.
