CHESS LESSONS – EIJ414

If you’ve wanted to learn how to play chess, here’s your chance. Teen volunteers will guide students as they play with each other to learn the basics of the game.

SUPER SMASH BROS. – EIJ536

Whether it’s your first time or you’re a master of combat, join us to play Super Smash Bros. Wii U!

PRESCHOOL FAIR - EIJ443

Parents of preschoolers are invited to attend the open house hosted by the Children’s Department in the upstairs meeting room. Representatives from local preschools and day care facilities will be here to answer questions and provide information regarding their programs. This is the perfect opportunity to find the best program for your child. In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be postponed until Wednesday, January 10.

PARENT/CHILD WORKSHOP - EIJ400 family place logo

Playing is how your child learns. Through different stages of play, children grow and develop skills in many areas. PARENT/CHILD WORKSHOP gives parents the opportunity to spend quality time with their child playing, exploring, and sharing songs and stories. The program begins on Friday, January 12 and runs for a total of six weeks.

Get ready to hop, holler, sing… and sneeze!  NYC’s award-winning kindie rockers Erin Lee and Philip Joseph of the Up Past Bedtime Band return to celebrate all the wonders of winter in this silly, snowy sing-along featuring quirky tunes about wobbly sleds, loud sneezes and itchy snowsuits!

MORE THAN MOTHER GOOSE - EIJ403

READ TO THE DOGS - EIJ578

Students practice their reading skills and gain confidence by reading aloud to a trained Therapy Dog. Dogs and their handlers are registered with Therapy Dogs International. Registration will be in-person only for a 20 minute session.
