Library Cards
East Islip Public Library issues a library card without charge to any child residing in the East Islip Union Free School District. A parent's or legal guardian's authorization is required before issuing a library card to a minor child. The parent or guardian must furnish proof of residency or property ownership in East Islip. In the case of minors, the parent or legal guardian authorizing the issuance of a library card assumes all responsibility for its use. The replacement cost for a lost library card is $1.00. |

Restrictions, Renewals, Reserves and Loans
Children are restricted from borrowing adult materials. Most library books may be renewed for an additional loan period. Most library books may be reserved. Materials not owned by the library may be obtained through interlibrary loan. |
