Library Expansion Progress Report
January/February 2005
It took some time and a bit of effort, but the opening of the new wing of our library is complete. Please come in and see your new-home-away-from-home. Our entrance for the time being is off of Harwood Avenue adjacent to the church’s parking lot. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the 16th to celebrate the completion of the first phase of our construction project. It is your
enthusiasm that really makes all our efforts worthwhile.
As we move ahead, we ask you for your continued patience. Although there may be small interruptions in service, we anticipate completing the entire project this spring. As always, we will keep you informed of our progress.
Thank you to all our contributors to the Library’s fundraising campaigns. This month both Morgan Stanley and Bank of America made significant contributions. Also, we have had a lot of interest in the tile mural of the history of our community. Please stop in and pick up a brochure or give me a call to discuss your interests (631) 581-9200 ext. 7.
Again, please come in and see your Library. I think you will appreciate our new look and feel. Also, please have a safe and joyous new year.
